State the required evidence before selecting a product
Where tested resistance is required, identify the applicable requirement and the configuration it must cover. Evidence needs to relate to the proposed system, including posts, connections and any permitted variations.

Separate the material package from system integration
Fence-mounted detection, surveillance, access control and lighting introduce mounting and coordination requirements. Show cable routes, equipment positions and any loading or isolation requirements supplied by the responsible specialists.
The fence material quotation should identify these interfaces without implying that it includes detection design, electrical integration or commissioning.
Keep pedestrian and vehicle protection distinct
Gate openings need clear dimensions, operating arrangements and connections to the fixed boundary. If vehicle-impact protection is part of the brief, it requires its own specified system and evidence; an ordinary fence or mesh gate is not a crash barrier.
Identify those separate work packages on the plan so the material schedules do not leave a gap between contractors.
Control revisions during phased construction
Assign references to perimeter sections and gates, and carry the drawing revision onto the order schedule. Record temporary boundaries and the point at which each permanent section will be handed over.
