Separate routine access from occasional access
A delivery entrance may operate throughout the day, while a maintenance opening is used only when large equipment moves. List both, including the vehicle or equipment envelope and the space needed around the gate.
Keep pedestrian routes visible on the plan. A vehicle gate is not automatically an appropriate everyday staff entrance; an adjacent pedestrian gate may form part of the required arrangement.
Select the boundary by zone
358 mesh provides a close-mesh option. Double wire fencing and steel fencing offer different panel and rail constructions. Compare them against the project requirement rather than treating a product name as evidence of a tested security level.
Identify exposed corners, height transitions and connections to buildings. Surface levels around loading areas can differ from the rest of the perimeter.
Record equipment attached to the fence
Lighting, cameras, signs and detection devices create interfaces that need to be included in the design. Record mounting positions and responsibility for the equipment; their loads and connections should not be added to an already specified fence without review.
Package the order for the works sequence
Divide the schedule by work area or delivery phase. Distinguish regular panels, special bays, post types and gate assemblies. Label these groups so the receiving team can release the correct materials without opening unrelated packs.
