Put the different widths on the drawing
“Gate width” can mean a leaf dimension, a distance between posts or the usable opening. Those dimensions are related, but they are not interchangeable. State which measurement is being requested and show the relevant reference points.
For a double-leaf gate, record the two leaves and their meeting arrangement. The required vehicle passage and available space should be assessed with the site layout, rather than inferred from the sum of the leaf widths.

Match the infill without overlooking the frame
358 infill can continue the close-mesh appearance of the fence line. The frame, mesh attachment and gaps around the moving leaves still need their own details. Matching the mesh pattern alone does not establish the performance of the gate assembly.
At each side, show how the fixed fence panel meets the gate post. A line-post detail should not be assumed to suit the post supporting a moving leaf. See 358 fence panels for the adjacent panel and connection specification.
Make the hardware list explicit
Hinges, latches or locks, drop bolts, stops and holding arrangements each have a role. List the required items, their locations and which party supplies them. A general request for a “complete gate” can otherwise leave different buyers and suppliers with different assumptions.
If another party supplies access-control equipment or a drive, the interfaces need to be reviewed before the gate arrangement is accepted. Equipment attachment, operation and safety assessment are not established by the mesh gate description. FencingWise does not include powered-gate system design as a standard part of material supply.
Review the gate where it will stand
Changes in ground level can affect the opening movement and the gap below a leaf. Show the relevant levels and the intended open and closed positions on the project drawing. Foundation, structural and installation requirements need assessment by the responsible project specialists.
Before approval, reconcile the drawing with the gate schedule and hardware list. If the opening direction or width changes, revisit the affected posts, connections and quantities together.
