Use dimensions alongside gauge names
State strand and barb wire diameters in millimetres. If a gauge designation is used, identify the gauge system rather than assuming all suppliers interpret it identically.
Also record the number of strands, barb point arrangement, barb spacing and roll length. Keep the length unit explicit: a roll's length and its packed diameter describe different things.
Include the finish in the product description
Identify the material and required coating specification. The presence of a metallic surface is not evidence of a particular coating mass or corrosion performance.
When comparing quotations, use the same wire construction, length and finish. A price per roll is not comparable if the rolls contain different lengths or wire specifications.
Coordinate brackets and boundary conditions
List any supporting brackets and attachment components separately from the wire. Their orientation and the resulting projection need to fit the site boundary and project design.
The site team should address lawful use, access by the public, warning arrangements and safe installation and maintenance for the actual location. No universal installation height or support spacing is assumed by this product description.
