Use the section drawing to establish fit
The words “heavy duty” do not define a section. Record length, section dimensions, mass per metre and the attachment pattern. Two posts of the same length can differ in material quantity, profile and clip compatibility.
Post length and installed fence height are also different dimensions. The installation design establishes embedment and support requirements for the ground and fence system.
Match the wire attachment system

Check the actual post profile and attachment system together. Fittings should not be assumed compatible with an unrelated section merely because both are described as Y-posts.
Keep line posts separate from strainers
Ends, corners and tensioning locations need the selected system's appropriate support arrangement. A driven line post is not automatically an adequate end strainer. Include those assemblies separately when preparing a complete farm fence package.
For repeat supply, retain a section sample or measured drawing and the hole or stud pattern. Receiving checks should reconcile length, straightness, markings and the agreed finish before the posts are distributed to installation teams.
