Compare the material package, not just the wire size
A change from 656 panels to 868 changes the wires presented to the fixing. Review the clamping space, fastener length and post interface instead of assuming existing clips will fit the larger assembly.
For quotations, keep the fence height, panel width, mesh pattern and finish consistent. Compare the included post sections and connection sets as well as the panel price. Otherwise an apparent difference in price may simply reflect a different supply scope.
Decide how the panel edges are retained
Individual clips hold the panel at specified points. A full-length clamp bar uses a continuous member along the connection. These arrangements require different parts and hole patterns, so name the intended method on the schedule.
Where two panels meet, show whether their edges overlap or sit beside each other. The joint detail determines the clamped thickness and fixing position. At the end of a run, the same connection may need a different arrangement because only one panel is present.

State what a wire measurement represents
Bare steel diameter and finished coated diameter are different measurements. Identify which is being quoted, together with the tolerance and inspection method. Keep the nominal 868 name for identification, but use the agreed dimensional specification for acceptance.
On delivery, compare the panel labels and dimensions with the order schedule before distributing packs to different work areas. Record damage to wire intersections or coating separately from a dimensional mismatch; they require different follow-up information.
Extensions need the original connection reference
For an extension or replacement order, the most useful records are the panel drawing and post and fixing details. Record the original finish and colour reference too. A matching nominal wire size alone does not make two panels interchangeable.
